Who is the Tiny House Chef?
It's me, Marta Mirecki.
As my children will tell you, I am a Trained Professional. An honors graduate of L'Academie de Cuisine near Washington DC, I have cooked at Montmartre Restaurant Francais in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of DC. I was also a staff chef at Food & Friends, a non-profit organization that provides meals and groceries for people with AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. I have taught cooking classes for community groups such as the Capital Area Food Bank and Healthy Babies Project, and for five years I was the head culinary instructor Hill's Kitchen, the fabulous kitchen store on Capitol Hill in Washington DC.
Prior to moving to Yokohama, I created Tiny House Chef Personal Chef Service, cooking for busy families in Washington DC for three years.
I have been featured on Morning Edition, a program aired across the U.S. on National Public Radio (NPR). I have also appeared in The Washington Post and other area publications.
And why am I the Tiny House Chef? Because I own the smallest house in Washington DC.
